General Information
Tualatin Youth Baseball offers playing opportunities to boys and girls from age 5 to 8th grade. The divisions are broken down as follows:

Lil Wolves: Players in Pre-K and Kindergarten that have no prior experience are eligible to play Lil Wolves tee-ball. There are no tryouts for this level. Practice times will be determined by the coach and will usually start in March. Games will start in April and there will be one weeknight game and one Saturday game. The season generally lasts until mid-June. All games are played in Tualatin at Byrom Elementary. Gear needed includes a baseball glove, bat and batting helmet. Other optional items include a bat bag, cleats and baseball pants.
Rookies: Rookies is for Kinders with at least 1-year prior experience in T-Ball. Rookies involves Tee-ball with transition to Coach pitch. There are no tryouts for this level. Practice times will be determined by the coach and will usually start in March. Games will start in April and there will be one weeknight game and one Saturday game. The season generally lasts until mid-June. All games are played in Tualatin at Byrom Elementary. Gear needed includes a baseball glove, bat and batting helmet. Pioneer: Players in 1st - 2nd grade are eligible to play Pioneer. It is recommended that 7 year olds wishing to play at this level have completed at least one year of tee-ball, preferably with some coach-pitch experience. All Pioneer games are played in Tualatin at Bridgeport Elementary. A team draft is held in an attempt to divide the teams as evenly as possible. Every player who is registered (and not on the waiting list) will be placed on a team. Practice times will be determined by the coach and will usually start in March. Games will start in April and there will be one weeknight game and one Saturday game. The season generally lasts until mid-June. Gear needed includes a baseball glove, bat, batting helmet. Other optional items include cleats, baseball underwear/protective cup, bat bag and batting gloves.
JBO Baseball-
Minor (3rd-4th grade), Junior (5th-6th grade) and Senior (7th-8th grade): Players 3rd-8th grade will play in the Clackamas County JBO program and will compete against other teams at the same age and skill level. Practices will be scheduled by coaches. League play will consist of 2 games per week on either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Games will begin in April and usually run through June. If teams qualify for district and state tournaments their season may run until the end of July. Gear needed includes a baseball glove, bat, batting helmet, baseball pants, baseball underwear/protective cup and cleats. Other optional items include a bat bag and batting gloves.
Within each Age Division, ball players are divided into three skill levels - Federal, American, and National.
The Federal level is the most competitive and there will be no more than one Federal team at each age level.
The American teams compete at an intermediate level.
The National teams are more developmental in nature.
